Pure wool dress

The Assia dress is a model perfectly adapted to the morphology of young children: loose on the bottom of the skirt, then tightened on the yoke. The top of the bodice is knitted in fancy stitch and the borders are embellished with a contrasting jacquard pattern. The dress is closed in the back with a snap. It is knitted in Diam, a soft and warm merino wool, which gives this outfit extra comfort.

How to knit the dress

The Assia Dress is knitted with circular needles n°3,5. To knit it, you need to know the basic knitting techniques:

• Knit stitches and purl
• Increase and decrease
• Pick up stitches for the nekline

If you know these techniques, you can get started on this project. Knitting beginners will benefit from help with decreases and pick up stitches

Personalisation

Several colour combinations are available. Choose the one you want to knit. Then select the child's size, allowing for a sufficient margin (do not take the size corresponding to the exact age of the child but 1 size above).

The knitting kit

Everything you need to make the Assia Dress is included in the kit: balls of merino wool, the optional circular needles, the press stud and the knitting pattern with step-by-step explanations for sizes 12, 18 and 24 months, 4 and 6 years.

Care

Wash the dress by hand or in the washing machine if it has a swing wool programme. The water temperature should be constant for washing and rinsing < below 30°C. Do not rub the garment, but press the detergent into the fibre using successive strokes. When rinsing, do not add fabric softener. Spin without wringing or at a speed < 600 rpm.
Dry flat in a ventilated area and iron under steam in the 2 point position using a damp cloth.
Store in an unconfined area.
