Knitting a child's jumper
The Bonite Sweater is a warm and comfortable model, adapted to the morphology of children. It has a straight cut with straight sleeves and a rounded neckline. Three stripes adorn the back and front, topped by a navy anchor knitted in jacquard. The jumper is knitted in Diam, a top quality 100% natural superfine merino wool.
How to knit the jumper?
The Bonite Sweater is knitted with n°3.5 needles. The basic knitting techniques are necessary to make it:
Knit stitches from the right side and from the left side
- Increasing and decreasing stitches
- Reading a jacquard pattern
- Pick up stitches
- Bind off and assembly
The pattern corresponds to an intermediate level.
Customize the jumper
The Bonite Sweater is available in several colour combinations. Choose the one that suits you best. Select the child's size. For small sizes, it is advisable to take a size above because the child grows quickly!
The knitting kit
The kit contains everything you need to make the Bonite Sweater: balls of merino wool, optional knitting needles, a small 24-carat gold sewing charm to sign your work and the knitting pattern with all the explanations for sizes 3, 6, 12, 18 months, and 2, 4 and 6 years.

Maintenance
Wash the jumper by hand or in the washing machine if it has a wool program. The temperature of the water must be constant and <30°C in order to avoid felting the wool. Use little detergent and never softener. Squeeze without wringing or at less than 600 rpm. Dry flat in a well-ventilated area. Iron under steam in 2 point position with the help of a damp cloth.
