How to make an invisible seam

Assembling the pieces of a knit is the ultimate moment to pay special attention to in order to obtain beautiful finishes. Indeed, coarse seams can depreciate an otherwise perfectly knitted work.

The principle of invisible stitching consists of bringing the stitches together on each edge as if they were knitted on the same row.

For this, the seam is done on the right side of the knitting by inserting the needle alternately in the hollow of the stitch on each edge.

Knit blindstitching can be done on all stockinette knitted pieces or with stockinette selvedges. For example, to close a snood or a hat, assemble an undersleeve or a back with a front.
