Cardigan knitting kit

The Kemi is a must-have cardigan for any wardrobe. It is just as handy as it is elegant and feminine. Knitted with Top Hair yarn, a blend of mohair and silk, this cardigan is super soft, fluffy, and warm. The little golden embroidered dots (made with our Vega thread) add a touch of whimsy to this piece. The two front parts remain open and are rolled up on themselves slightly at the border. The cardigan has a straight cut that stops before the hips and set-in sleeves. Wear the Kemi at big events such as a wedding or the holidays. It can also make for quite a classy outfit at the office!

Easy to knit

The Kemi is knitted with 5 mm needles for the body, and 4,5 mm needles for the edges. The dots are embroidered using a yarn needle. You must know the following techniques to knit it:

• Knit stocking and rib stitches
• Decrease and increase stitches
• Cast off stitches
• Pick up stitches
• Assemble

Customisation

Top Hair yarn comes in several colour choices: white, natural, red, purple, navy blue, black, mouse grey, powder, and pearl. Each of these colours goes well with the golden thread, but you may also choose to knit it with a platinum thread instead. Simply state it in your order. If you want a cardigan that covers the hips, add 3 to 5 cm worth of stitches lengthwise. Do not forget to order an additional ball of yarn in the corresponding colour. Choose the size that fits you. The knitting kit

The kit comes with everything you need to knit the Kemi cardigan: balls of mohair yarn, a reel of golden thread, knitting needles; and a knitting pattern with step-by-step instructions for all sizes between S and XL. If you do not wish to order needles, click on “no needles”.

Care

Kid mohair is a 100 % natural yarn that requires some care to keep it in perfect conditions. Spread out washes and air your cardigan regularly. Store it flat in an unconfined space. Wash it by hand with lukewarm water (30°C) with little detergent or in a washer on a wool cycle. Rinse at the same temperature without using softeners. Remove excess water without wringing and dry it flat in a ventilated location.
