Tamier Snood knitting kit
Men's snood to knit
This snood is knitted in Heritage, a pure undyed alpaca wool. The fancy stitch forms rows of small crosses in different colours. The kit contains the alpaca balls, optional knitting needles and the knitting pattern.
This snood is suitable for both men and women, in one size.
Knitting a snood
The Tamier Snood is a very useful accessory to keep your neck warm. This mixed pattern is easy to combine with your outfit: wear it over a turtleneck, a shirt or a jumper, or over a coat or jacket. The wool is made from undyed alpaca and gives a perfectly shaped knit.
Easy to knit snood
The Tamier Snood is knitted with n°4,5 needles. To make it, you need to know the following techniques:
- Knit knit stitches
- Slip stitches
- Bind off and assembly
If you know these techniques, you can start this project. Knitting beginners who know how to knit stockinette can tackle this pattern and learn this very simple fancy stitch.
Customise your snood
The snood is available in different contrasting colour combinations. Choose the one you want to knit.
The knitting kit
The kit contains everything you need to make the Tamier Snood: balls of alpaca wool, optional knitting needles and the knitting pattern with step-by-step instructions.
You will also need a few tools, such as a pair of scissors, a wool needle for assembly and a tape measure. Please see our haberdashery page to complete your tools.
Care
To keep your snood looking good, follow the care instructions carefully. Wash by hand or in the washing machine if it has a wool cycle. The water temperature should be constant and <30°C. Use little detergent and do not add fabric softener. Spin without wringing and at a speed <600 rpm. Dry flat. There is no need to iron.
