Women's winter jumper
- The Ansonia Sweater is a fashionable model with its fine stripes in light colours on a white or natural background. The jumper is knitted in Top Hair, a soft blend of kid mohair and silk, the top of the mohair wool. It has a straight cut with set-in sleeves and a rounded neckline. The stripes are marked on all parts of the body.
Wear the Ansonia Sweater casually with jeans or canvas trousers, or for a more refined outfit with a straight skirt.
How to knit the jumper?
The Ansonia Sweater is knitted with n°5 needles. To knit it, you need to know the basic knitting techniques:
- Knit knit and purl stitches
Decrease
Pick up stitches for the neckline
Bind off and assembly
If you know these techniques, you can start with this pattern. Knitting beginners with a little experience will benefit from help in raising stitches.
Customisation

The knitting kit
Everything you need to make the Ansonia jumper is included in the knitting kit: balls of wool, knitting needles (optional), a little heart to sew on to sign your work and the knitting pattern with step-by-step instructions for sizes S to XL.
To make the jumper, you will also need a few tools, such as a pair of scissors, a wool needle for assembly, two stitch stops and a tape measure. Visit our haberdashery page to shop for accessories.
Care
Mohair is a wool that requires some care to keep it long. Space out the washings, use little detergent and never use fabric softener. Washing and rinsing water should be at a constant temperature <30°C. Squeeze without wringing and dry flat.
Mohair cannot be ironed. Store in an unconfined area and change the jumper regularly to avoid creasing.
