Jumper Knitting kit
The Leknes jumper is a must-have for the wardrobe with its Scandinavian-inspired twists. Its wool made of mohair and silk reinforces the natural relief of the interlacing by catching the light. This very soft and comfortable jumper is slightly loose and has a straight cut with rolled up sleeves and a rounded collar. Wear it for any occasion: casual with jeans or dressy with trousers or a skirt.
Easy to knit
The Leknes Jumper is knitted with needles n°5 (8 US) and a cable needle. The pattern is for intermediate level. If you have some experience in knitting, you can learn to knit twists with this model. The techniques covered are:
• Knit knit and purl stitches
• Cross stitches with cable needle
• Increase and decrease stitches
• Pick up and bind off stitches

The kit
The kit contains everything you need to make the Leknes jumper: wool balls, knitting needles, cable needle and the knitting pattern with all the explanations. If you don't need the needles, click on "without needles". You will also need some additional tools, such as a pair of scissors, a tape measure and a wool needle. These tools are not in the kit, but you can buy them on our Haberdashery page.
Maintenance
To preserve your knit, space out the washings and air it often. Avoid to store it in a confined area. Wash your jumper by hand in <30 degrees water with a mild detergent in small quantities. Rinse generously without using softener. If your water is hard, add a few drops of vinegar to your rinse water to remove excess detergent. Dry flat in a ventilated area.
