Cardigan knitting kit
The Moritz cardigan is a safe bet. It’s a versatile cardigan to wear on any occasion, the type of permanent wardrobe item you just can’t get enough of, especially when the weather turns chilly.
It is knitted with a mohair yarn spun around a silk core that is soft and voluminous and gives an impression of lightness while remaining warm in winter and cool in summer.
The cut is straight with a round neck, set-in sleeves, and a button packet on the front. The buttons match the colour of the yarn which adds sophistication to the garment. A lovely little detail.
Easy to knit
Done in stocking stitches with 4,5 mm and 4 mm needles for the placket, this cardigan isn’t difficult to knit. It consists of one back piece, two halves for the front, two sleeves, a button placket, and a finish on the neck. [MK1]
You must know the following techniques to achieve the Moritz:
- Knit stocking and rib stitches
- Increase and decrease stitches
- Cast off stitches
- Pick up stitches
- Assemble and sew buttons

Caring for your cardigan means storing it flat in a dust-free environment. Wash it by hand with a gentle detergent at no more than 30°C. Dry on a flat, ventilated surface. It is not advised to wear the same garment several days in a row.
