How to knit the mittens?
The Copsis Mittens have been specially designed to learn to knit and to make your first knitting accessory. The pattern uses basic knitting techniques:
• Cast on stitches
• Knit knit stitches
• Bind off stitches
• Assembly
To get started with knitting, learn these basic techniques.
The knitting kit
The kit contains everything you need to make these mittens: the ball of Luxor wool, the optional knitting needles n°5 (8 US), a sewing label to sign your work and the knitting pattern.
To make this model, you will also need a pair of scissors to cut the yarn, a tape measure and a wool needle for the assembly. If necessary, go to our Haberdashery page to buy your accessories.
Maintenance
Wash your mittens by hand in <30 degrees lukewarm water with a mild detergent in small quantities. Do not rub but apply successive pressures to make the detergent penetrate. Rinse with the same temperature without adding softener. Squeeze without wringing and dry flat in a good ventilated area. There is no need to iron.
