Merino knitting yarn
The Diam is an outstanding yarn, made from the finest merino hair (19.5 microns), which grants this 100 % natural knitting yarn its exceptional softness. Soft, voluminous, and perfectly twisted, this yarn allows for knits with excellent hold with well-defined stitches. This yarn enhances all sorts of stitches such as the garter stitch, openwork or embossed fancy stitches, and jacquard stitches.
Moreover, this merino yarn comes from eco-friendly farming that respects the animals’ wellbeing, and is currently undergoing RWS certification. Farmers that the yarn is mulesing-free.
You will need 8 balls of Diam yarn to knit a size S to L women’s sweater, and 9 to 10 balls for L or above. For baby jumpers, you will need 2 balls for 0 to 9 months, and 3 balls for 9 to 24 months.
A 10 x 10 cm square of stocking stitches knitted with 3.5 mm needles corresponds to 25 stitches and 35 rows.
Take good care of your Diam knits to keep them in good conditions. Spread out washes and use gentle washing products in small quantities.
Wash your knit by hand or in a machine with cradle wash technology for wool at 30°C. The water temperature for the wash and the rinse must be constant to prevent thermal shocks that are responsible for felting. Rinse with clear water without using softeners. Remove excess water without wringing and leave to dry flat in a ventilated location.
Iron your Diam knits with the low heat setting. Use a pressing cloth when necessary.
Store flat in an unconfined location and change it location regularly to remove potential creases.
