Knitting kit design
The Aurella is knitted with Top Hair, a 100 % natural yarn made up of kid mohair and silk, which is light, voluminous, and very soft. Slopping down to the hips, this cardigan has a loose and straight cut for maximum comfort. It features raglan sleeves and slit pockets with open front parts that meet at the bottom. Wear this cardigan for any occasion with pants, a dress or a skirt, for a relaxed or dressy look, with a shirt, a T-shirt, or a blouse.
Easy to knit
The Aurella is knitted with 5 mm needles. You must know these basic knitting techniques to make it:
- Knit and purl stitches
- Increase and decrease stitches
- Add on stitches
- Pick up stitches
You can start this project if you know these techniques. Beginners with a bit of knitting experience can also attempt this design, albeit with some assistance.
The Top Hair yarn is available in many different colours. Choose the one you like best or one that matches with your outfit. Select your size and, if necessary, refer to our size guide to determine it with precision.
The knitting kit
Everything you need to knit the Aurella comes in its kit: balls of yarn in the colour of your choice, knitting needles (optional), a decorative heart-shaped charm, and a knitting pattern with step-by-step instructions and annotated figures. Select “no needles” if you do not need any, otherwise select the corresponding needle size. You will also need a few extra tools to knit this piece: a pair of scissors, a tape measure, a yarn needle, and a stitch holder. Visit our online Haberdashery to complete your knitting set.
Preserve your cardigan for a long time by spreading out washes and avoiding wearing it several days in a row. Air it for a few hours to rid it of bad smells. Was your cardigan by hand or in the washer at 30°C on wool cycle if it comes with a cradle wash system. Use little detergent. Rinse in a bath at the same temperature without using softeners. Remove excess water without wringing and leave to dry flat in a ventilated location. Store your garment flat in an unconfined space. Mohair yarn should not be ironed.
