Large mohair snood
The Miltonia Snood is a chunky collar knitted from a natural wool that's soft, light, puffy and warm. All these qualities are essential for this fashion accessory. The wool, made from mohair and silk, is slightly hairy. The snood is 35 cm high. It can be worn single-layered if you want lots of pleats, or double-layered to concentrate the knitting and provide maximum warmth.
How to knit a snood
The snood is knitted with n° 5 needles. To knit it, you need to know the basic knitting techniques:
- Cast on stitches
- Knit knit and purl stitches
If you know these techniques, this project is for you. If you're new to knitting, this pattern is a great challenge.
The kit
The kit contains everything you need to make the snood: balls of Top Hair wool, optional knitting needles, and the knitting pattern with all the explanations.

Care
Top Hair is a top-of-the-range wool that needs a little care if it is to last a long time. Space out your washes, use little washing powder and never use fabric softener.
Wash your snood by hand or in the washing machine if it has a wool cycle. Keep the water temperature constant at all stages, from washing to rinsing, and <30°C. Do not rub the snood, but apply pressure in succession. Rinse with clean water and spin without wringing. Machine spin at <600 rpm.
Dry flat in a ventilated area.
Mohair cannot be ironed.
