Opt for comfortable clothes made with natural materials.
The jumper displayed on this page is a size M and is knitted with powder-coloured Top Hair yarn. The jumper is 66 cm tall for this size.
Knit a sweater
The Adonis is loose and easy to wear. Thanks to its V-neck, you can pair it with a top or a blouse. Its cut is straight, slopes down to the hips, and it has drop sleeves. The jumper is knitted with Top Hair, a yarn made up of kid mohair and silk, which gives it a lot of softness and fluffiness thanks to its voluminous stitching. This design can be knitted in a bigger size to get a looser garment. You may, for instance, knit a size M if you wear a size S and so on.
Easy to knit
The Adonis is knitted with 5 mm needles. It can be done by beginners who have some experience or are able to get some assistance. You simply have to know these techniques:
- Knit and purl stitches
- Increase and decrease stitches
- Pass slipped stitches over
- Cast off and assemble
If you master these techniques or if you wish to learn how to knit, you can start this project.
Customise your sweater
The Adonis is available in many different colours from dark to light shades. Choose the colour of your yarn, then select the jumper size you wish to knit. You can go for one size bigger to get an even looser jumper.
The knitting kit
Everything you need to knit the Adonis comes in the kit: balls of Top Hair yarn in the colour of your choice, knitting needles, and a knitting pattern with step-by-step instructions for sizes S, M, L, and XL. If you don’t need any needles, select “no needles”, click on the corresponding needle size otherwise. You will also need a few sewing tools such as a tape measure, a pair of scissors, and a yarn needle. Visit our Haberdashery page to purchase these tools.
Mohair is a natural yarn that requires particular care. Spread washes out and use detergent in small quantities. Leave your jumper to rest and air it often to rid it of bad smells. Wash your jumper by hand or in the washer on a wool cycle at no more than 30°C. Rinse at the same temperature without using softeners. Leave it to dry on a flat surface in a ventilated location. Do not iron your sweater, instead place it on the backrest of a chair for a few hours to remove creases.
