Jumper in knitting kit for beginners
Soft and comfortable, the Alta jumper is the feminine chic. This jumper is made of mohair and silk, a light and warm hairy yarn, and is a must-have to be at your best as soon as the first cold weather arrives. The cut is straight, slightly flared at the bottom, with set-in sleeves for a perfect fit. The neckline is rounded, notched in the back and closed with a button. The little extras that make all the difference: the bottom of the sleeves, the front and the back are knitted with our Vega yarn, which gives the mohair beautiful highlights.
Easy to knit
The Alta jumper is made in knit stitch with needles n°5 (8 US) and 5.5 (9 US). It is made up of four pieces: a back with an opening, a front and two sleeves. The neckline is set in. In order to succeed the Alta jumper, you need to know how to do the following steps:
• Knit knit stitch, ribs and garter stitch
• Decrease and increase
• Bind off stitches
• Pick up stitches
• Assembly
If you know these techniques, you can easily knit this jumper. The accompanying booklet will give you all the step-by-step explanations and guide you to success. For beginners, a first experience of knitting is necessary to approach this model without difficulty.
Customization
The Alta jumper is knitted in Top Hair, a 100% natural yarn, available in three colors: pearl grey (the model shown), red and navy blue. Choose the color of the accompanying Vega yarn: gold or platinum. Gold gives a beautiful golden highlight, platinum (a mix of gold and silver) a rich silver highlight. Personalize your jumper by choosing the closing button: you can choose between a button in the same color as the yarn, a real mother-of-pearl button or a gold drop.
The kit
The kit contains everything you need to make the Alta jumper: Top Hair and Vega yarns in the desired color, the closing button, the accompanying booklet with explanations on how to make it work the pattern and the knitting needles. If you don't need the needles, select "without needles".
Maintenance
To keep your Alta jumper in good condition for a long time, wash it gently by hand in lukewarm water (<30 degrees). Squeeze it several times to remove the water. Dry it flat in a ventilated area. Change its position during drying to avoid creases. Mohair cannot be ironed. To remove any eventual creases, place your jumper on a duffle and pin it without stretching it. Spray lightly and leave to dry. Store flat your jumper and avoid wearing it several days in a row.
