The Jamelac Jumper combines elegance and comfort. This timeless model with its delicate finishing touches can be worn on all occasions: over trousers for a sporty look or a skirt for a dressier outfit. It has a straight cut with balloon-shaped fitted sleeves. The neckline is open with a high yoke reminiscent of a blouse collar.
Easy to knit
The Jamelac Jumper is knitted in Diam, a soft and warm 100% merino yarn, with needles n°4 (6 US). To knit it, you need to know the basic knitting techniques:
• Knit knit and purl stitches
• Increase and decrease stitches
• Assembly
If you have these techniques, you can go for this project. The Jamelac jumper is not a beginner knit. However, it is possible to tackle this pattern with some experience.
The customization
The Diam yarn is available in many colors, lighter or darker. Choose the color that suits you the best. Select your size and, if necessary, visit our size guide to determine your size.
The kit
In the kit you will find everything you need to make the Jamelac Jumper: wool balls in the chosen colors, optional knitting needles, heart to sew and the knitting pattern with all the explanations and dimensional drawings for sizes S, M, L and XL. If you don't need the needles, check "without needles", check on "with needles" if you want them. You will also need some additional tools, such as a pair of scissors, a tape measure and a wool needle. These tools are not in the kit, but you can buy them on our Haberdashery page.
Maintenance
Space out the washings and avoid wearing it several days in a row. If you notice a bad smells, air the jumper for few hours. Store it flat in an unconfined area. Hand or machine wash, “wool cycle” < 30 degrees. Use little detergent. Rinse with clean water without adding softener in a water at the same temperature. Squeeze without wringing and dry flat in a ventilated area. Iron under the steam of the iron in the 2-point position with a damp cloth.
