Model to knit
The Célosia Jumper is one of the best of the collection. This timeless model is easy to match with any outfit and is a condensed softness, thanks to its yarn made of kid mohair and silk. Both light and soft, it provides a gentle warmth. There is a straight cut that falls to the hips, with set-in sleeves and a rounded neckline that rises slightly. Wear the Célosia Jumper on any occasion with trousers or a skirt, in dressy or casual mode. An ideal model for the whole year.
Easy to knit
The Célosia jumper is knitted with needles n°5 (8 US). It can be approached by knitting beginners who already have some experience or who can get help, especially in picking up stitches. To make it, the following techniques are required:
• Knit knit and purl stitches
• Increase and decrease stitches
• Pick up stitches
• Bind off and assembly
If you know these techniques or wish to explore them further, you can go for this project.
Customize your jumper
Top Hair yarn is available in many colors, from lighter to darker. Choose the color you prefer. Select your size and, if necessary, visit our size guide to check which size best suits your measurements. You can add a brooch or a scarf to your hair or around your neck.
Knitting kit contents
Everything you need to knit the Célosia jumper is included in the kit: balls of Top Hair wool in the chosen color, optional knitting needles, a little heart to sew on the side of the jumper and the knitting pattern with step-by-step explanations for sizes S, M, L and XL. If you don't need the needles, check "without needles", if you want them, check on "with needles". A few tools are also necessary to knit the jumper: a pair of scissors, a tape measure, a wool needle and 2 stitch holders. Visit our Haberdashery page to complete your kit.
How to maintain your jumper?
You can keep your Célosia jumper for a long time if you give it some special attention. Space out the washings as much as possible and use little detergent. If you notice a bad smell, simply air the jumper for a few hours. Wash your jumper by hand in water <30 degrees maximum or machine wash, wool cycle, if it contains a balance program. Rinse with clean water without adding softener. Squeeze without wringing and dry flat in a good ventilated area. Mohair cannot be ironed. Store it flat in an unconfined area and change its place regularly.
