Cardigan model to knit
Oroya Cardigan is knitted in Top Hair, a yarn composed of kid mohair and silk, a true condensation of softness and lightness. The originality of this knit lies in the 3 stripes on the front, as a wink to fashion trends. And to reinforce this touch of fantasy, the buttons are the same color as the stripes. The Oroya cardigan has a straight cut that falls to the hips, set-in sleeves and a large rounded neckline. It closes at the front with 6 buttons. Easy to wear, the cardigan easily complements a dressy outfit (skirt, dress or trousers) or a casual one (jeans). Match the color of the stripes to the outfit.
Easy to knit
The Oroya Cardigan is knitted with needles n°5 (8 US). To make it, the following techniques are required:
• Knit knit and purl stitches
• Increase and decrease stitches
• Pick up stitches
• Make buttonholes
The pattern is aimed at intermediate level knitters.
The Oroya cardigan is available in several colors starting from a white base. Choose the color of the stripes from the Top Hair colors. Select your size and, if necessary, use the size guide to find the right size for you.
The kit contains everything you need to make the cardigan: wool balls in the selected color and size, mother-of-pearl buttons dyed in the color of the yarn, knitting needles and the knitting pattern with all the explanations and dimensional drawings for all sizes from S to XL. If you don't need the needles, check "without needles” or "with needles" if you want them in your kit. You will also need a pair of scissors, a stitch holder, a tape measure, pins and a wool needle. All these materials are not included in the kit. Go to our Haberdashery page if you are missing a tool.
Our mohair has been selected to give you the best results: it is made from the finest fibers (kid mohair), ensuring all the softness of this wool, and the longest, to avoid pilling. This up-market product requires some care to be kept for a long time. Space out the washings and use little detergent. If the bad smell persists, air your cardigan for a few hours. If your cardigan is stained, wash it by hand or in the washing machine on the wool cycle at 30 degrees. Rinse with clean water and the same bath temperature, without adding softener. Squeeze without wringing and dry flat in a ventilated area. Change the position of the cardigan during drying to avoid creasing. Store your cardigan flat in an unconfined area.
