Knitting a snood

The Donati Snood is an essential accessory to protect yourself from the cold. Its puffy knit traps air and acts as an insulator with the outside, delivering all the necessary warmth to the neck.
It is a mixed model, easy to combine with clothing. Wear it directly on the skin or over the collar of a shirt, jacket, coat or even a turtleneck.

Easy to knit snood

The Donati Snood is knitted with n°4.5 needles. To make it, you need to know the following techniques:

• Knit right sides together
• Knit double stitches
• Fold and join

If you know these knitting techniques, you can start with this pattern. For beginners to knitting, who have already mastered stockinette, the Donati snood can be an excellent opportunity to start learning an easy and accessible fancy stitch.

Customisation

Heritage alpaca wool is available in a variety of alpaca fleece colours, with some lovely tan shades. Choose the colour you want to knit to match your outfit. The snood is available in one size.

Care

Wash your snood by hand or in the washing machine if it has a wool programme. Use little detergent and no fabric softener. The water temperature should be constant between washing and rinsing and <30°C. Thermal shocks are responsible for felting the wool. Spin without wringing or at -600 rpm.
Dry in an airy place. Ironing is not necessary.
