Malvae Scarf to knit
Scarf knitting kit
The Malvae scarf is entirely knitted in jacquard with two noble materials: recycled cashmere wool (Cara) and baby alpaca wool with silk (Royal Puno). The kit contains balls of wool, optional knitting needles and the knitting pattern with all the explanations.
The pattern shown is knitted in Cara in poppy colour and Royal Puno in powder colour.
Jacquard Stitch Scarf
Two materials are used to knit the Malvae Scarf: one shiny and the other matt. The combination of softness is ensured by two top-of-the-range natural wools: Cara, a pure recycled cashmere, and Royal Puno, baby alpaca and silk.
The jacquard stitch forms a repeating geometric pattern.
The scarf is 1.20 m long. If you want to make it longer, you only need 2 extra balls (1 of each material) to make a large scarf of 1.60 m.
Easy to knit Scarf
The scarf is an excellent model for an easy introduction to jacquard. To knit it, basic knitting techniques are necessary:
- Knit stitches right sides together
- Folding the stitches
Knitting beginners who already know how to knit stockinette can tackle this pattern.
Customisation
The scarf is available in a combination of contrasting colours. Choose the colours you wish to knit.
The kit
The kit contains everything you need to make the Malvae Scarf: balls of wool in the selected colour, optional knitting needles and the knitting pattern with step-by-step explanations.
To make the scarf you will also need a pair of scissors. Visit our haberdashery page if you need them.
Care
Cashmere and baby alpaca are natural wools, sensitive to thermal shocks. Preferably wash by hand using little detergent. Washing and rinsing water should be at a constant temperature <30°. Do not rub, but press the knitwear in succession to make the detergent penetrate. Rinse with clean water without adding fabric softener. Squeeze without wringing and dry flat.
