Women’s sweater knitting kit
The Ceiba sweater possesses many qualities: knitted with a super-soft silky yarn (Royal Puno), it is comfortable, light, and very pleasant to the touch. This yarn made up of 60 % superfine alpaca wool and 40 % silk which gives this jumper its nice look that is flexible, well structured, with well-defined stitches. This timeless design has a straight cut that slopes down to the hips, set-in sleeves that shows off the top of the bust, and a relatively low V-neck, allowing it to be combined with a shirt or a body. The Ceiba jumper can be worn on any occasion, at the office, during a night out, or on the weekend. It is one of these permanent items in everyone’s wardrobe; easy to wear and always in fashion. Thanks to its high quality highly resistant yarn, the Ceiba is a must-have for its durability.
How to knit this sweater?
The Ceiba is knitted with 4 mm needles. To knit it, you must know the following techniques:
- Knit and purl stitches
- Decrease and increase stitches
- Cast off and assemble
This project shouldn't be a challenge for you if you know these techniques. Beginners with a bit of knitting experience may require help, especially with casting-off the stitches on the neck and assembling.
Customise your sweater
Royal Puno yarn is available in several pastel shades as well as in deep blue. Choose the colour you like best then select your size by referring to the size guide in order to determine it as precisely as possible.
The knitting kit
The Ceiba sweater knitting kit comes with everything you need to knit it: balls of yarn, knitting needles (optional), a decorative heart-shaped charm, and a knitting pattern with step-by-step instructions and annotated figures for sizes S to XL. You will also need a pair of scissors, a tape measure, a stitch holder, and a yarn needle for the assembly. You can purchase these tools on our Haberdashery page if you’re missing something.
Care for woolen sweaters
Take good care of your sweater to preserve it for a long time. Spread out washes and use gentle washing products. Air it regularly to rid it of smells. Wash your garment by hand or on the wool cycle of your washer if it comes with a cradle wash system. Use a water that is no more than 30°C for the wash and rinse. Remove excess water without wringing and leave to dry in a flat well-ventilated location. Iron your jumper on the low heat setting and use a damp cloth as protection from the iron if necessary. Store away flat in an unconfined location and switch your sweater location to prevent creasing.
