The Babiana Waistcoat is a practical cardigan that's easy to slip over a T-shirt or shirt when the weather turns cooler. Knitted in Céleste, a wool made from superfine alpaca and silk, the cardigan is warm, soft and light. It has a straight cut, a rounded neckline and slightly slit armholes.
Wear it for any occasion with jeans, high-waisted trousers or a trapeze skirt.

How to knit the cardigan

The Babiana Waistcoat is knitted with n°5 needles. To make it, you need to know the basic knitting techniques:

• Knit knit and purl stitches
• Fold down stitches

Care

Céleste is a top-of-the-range wool that needs a little care if it is to last a long time. Space out your washes, use little washing powder and never use fabric softener.
Wash your cardigan by hand or in the washing machine if it has a wool cycle. The water temperature should be constant from washing to rinsing and <30°C. Do not rub the waistcoat, but press it down successively. Rinse with clean water and spin without wringing. Machine spin at <600 rpm.
Dry flat in a well-ventilated area. There is no need to iron.
Store in an uncluttered place and move regularly to avoid creasing.
