Women's knitted jumper
The Lahti jumper has short, slightly puffed sleeves. It has a straight, slightly loose fit, with rolled-up sleeves and a rounded neckline with a few centimetres of slit at the front. This comfortable, easy-going jumper is knitted in Top Hair, an ultra-soft, light, puffy wool made from kid mohair and silk.
Wear this jumper for every occasion, whether you're going out, going to work or cosying up at home. Match it with jeans or a straight, trapeze-style skirt.
How do I knit the jumper?
This pattern is knitted with n°4.5 needles. To make it, you need to know the basic knitting techniques:
- Knit knit and purl stitches
- Increase and decrease
- Pick up stitches
- Assembly
If you know these techniques, you can make this pattern easily. Knitting beginners who already have a little experience will benefit from getting help to lift the stitches on the neckline.
Personalisation
Top Hair wool is available in a wide range of colours. Choose the one that suits you best. Then select the size you want to knit. If necessary, use our sizing guide to determine the size you need.
The knitting kit
Everything you need to make the Lahti Sweater is included in the kit: balls of wool, knitting needles (optional), a small 24-carat gold sewing heart to sign your work and the knitting pattern with step-by-step explanations and dimensional diagrams for sizes S, M, L and XL.
To make this pattern, you'll also need a few tools, like a pair of scissors, a tape measure, a stitch holder (optional) and a wool needle for assembly. Visit our Haberdashery page to buy your tools.
Care
Mohair is a hairy yarn that doesn't need ironing. Store your garment flat, not hanging up, away from dust. Space out your washes, airing it out. This will help it to lose any unpleasant odours.
Wash your jumper by hand or in the washing machine if it has a wool cycle. The temperature of the wash and rinse water should be < 30°. Rinse thoroughly with clean water without adding fabric softener. Squeeze your waistcoat dry, without wringing the knit, then dry flat in an airy place. Machine spin at <600 rpm.
