Women's Knitted Jumper
The Onosma jumper is knitted in Top Hair, a 100% natural mohair and silk wool. The fancy stitch, which creates small vertical lines in the hollows, adds volume to the knit and accentuates the wool for maximum warmth. The cut is straight, with set-in sleeves and a rounded neckline. The upper sleeves are slightly baggy.
Wear this jumper as a warm garment for any occasion.
How to knit the sweater
The Onosma jumper is knitted with 5 mm needles. To knit it, you need to know a few knitting techniques:
- Knit knit and purl stitches
- Increase and decrease
- Pick up stitches
- Assembly
Once you know these techniques, you can tackle this pattern. Beginners with some experience can practise the fancy stitch before starting. They will benefit from help during assembly, especially when pick up the stitches at the neckline.

The knitting kit
The kit contains everything you need to make the Onosma jumper: balls of Top Hair wool, optional knitting needles, a small 24 carat gold sewing heart to sign your work and the knitting pattern with step-by-step instructions and measurement charts for all sizes from S to XL.
You'll also need a few tools to make this jumper: scissors, tape measure, 2 stitch stoppers (optional) and 1 wool needle. Go to our Haberdashery page to order your tools.
How to care
Top Hair is a top quality wool that needs a little care if it is to last. Spacing out your washes, using little detergent and never using fabric softener.
Wash your jumper by hand or in the washing machine if it has a wool cycle. The water temperature should be constant at all stages and <30°C. Don't rub the jumper, just press it in. Rinse with clear water and spin without wringing. Spin at <60 rpm.
Dry flat in a ventilated area.
Mohair cannot be ironed.
Store flat and move regularly to avoid creasing.
