Alpaca yarn
Made with the latest spinning technologies, this 100 % natural knitting yarn is particularly voluminous, soft, and smooth. The air gets trapped in between its hairs, granting it exceptional thermal quality as well as unmatched lightness. Use this yarn to knit a big jumper for winter, a scarf, a snood, or a beanie. The Snow yarn is made up of 68 % of superfine alpaca, 10 % merino, and 22 % silk.
How many balls do you need?
Knitting projects using the Snow yarn requires a few balls because the yarn is so light. Only 6 balls of yarn are enough to knit a sweater. Makes for the perfect holiday gift!
To knit size S or M sweater, you will need about 300 to 350 g of yarn, and 400 g for a size L or XL. With a single ball of yarn, you can knit a regular beanie, while with 2 balls, or 100 g of yarn, you can make a snood or a scarf. You can also double knit this yarn with 8 mm needles if you wish to get an even bigger knit for a scarf or a snood.
Knitting gauge
A 10 x 10 cm square of stocking stitches knitted with 7 mm needles corresponds to 13 stitches and 9 rows.
To knit a sample, cast on at least 20 stitches and measure outside the selvedge.
